这部作品无疑是马克斯兄弟最好的一部作品了，里面的无厘头笑料真是合我心。各种插科打诨加上夸张表演，笑料密集地直接把《鸭羹》给比下去了。“导演萨姆·伍德把气氛拍得十分热闹有趣，在薄弱的情节和愚蠢的爱情故事之下仍制造出很高的娱乐性，并不因为四兄弟中只有三个兄弟参加演出而失色。”

【Netflix】两星半。前半段是非常有潜力成为好喜剧的，谈吐真相出现幻觉的一段在浪漫喜剧里绝对属于出人意料顶级发挥。但是结尾的泻力和平淡让本片显得乏味寡淡，而对于intentional community的设定有些浪费：如果拍成情景喜剧美剧会更有发挥空间，几个配角们都很有个性。
