This series is set in the long hot summer of 1959 and wedding season is in full swing in the Cambridgeshire village of Grantchester As the Reverend Will Davenport unites happy couples in holy matrimony, Detective Inspective Geordie Keating is busy as ever investigating a range of local murder cases. With a new decade just around the corner, the question of what the future holds is on everyone's minds, not least Will's, but before the 50s roll over into the swinging sixties there are some crimes to solve and some life -changing decisions to be made that might change life in Grantchester forever.

也许生活并不是很好，但只要彼此相爱、彼此了解，心中没有了怨恨，也就不会很糟糕。发现很多电影中的矛盾都是来自自己以为他人的需要与他人的实际需要之间的差距，以至于大家之间有误会，认为自己没有被爱。当现实却总是彼此了解后仍旧不能理解的痛，远没有电影来的简单。
